Code of Conduct

Members shall comply with all governmental legislation in their dealings-including but not limited to licensing through the HCRA

Member shall comply with applicable building codes of Canada and Ontario as a minimum standard for construction and shall work towards its improvement in the interest of structural sufficiency, safety and health.

Members shall plan their sites and homes to conform to the principles of good community planning and support for the environment.

Members shall deal justly with their employees contractors and suppliers of all goods and services.

Members shall deal honestly and fairly with their customers.

Members shall stand behind the quality of their work and service commitments.

Members shall avoid all conduct or practice detrimental to the home building industry, to the
association, to the good name and reputation of any of its members, or its customers.

Members shall actively promote health and safety principles.

Member shall treat their competitors, including their property and ideas, with respect.

Members shall remit payment to all SDHBA invoices within 60 days
The Sudbury and District Home Builders’ Association agrees to process and investigate any customer, competitor, supplier, or other complaints made against a member of our association.

Members agree to work with and supply reasonable information to the Sudbury and District Home Builders’ Association regarding any complaints against a member.
By joining our member portal, you agree to comply and maintain all the items listed above. Failure to uphold our Code of Conduct may result in a loss of membership, with no reimbursement of fees.
